October 15th, Remembrance Day and The Wave of Light!

President Ronald Reagan Proclaimed October as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month, and October. 15th was chosen to be Pregnancy and Infant Loss Memorial Day. Worldwide, families come together to light a candle at 7 pm which is known as the wave of light in remembrance of all of our babies.

Please join us for our 2nd annual memorial vigil hosted by Jalen's Gift Foundation. On this special night, we will come together to celebrate, honor and remember our gone but not forgotten babies. There are no words to describe the pain of losing a child and you are not alone!!

We will read our babies names, blow bubbles kisses, balloon release, play a memorial video and share our stories. We are asking our families to wear a team shirt in honor of their baby and to make a poster of their baby to be put on display for others to hear his/her story. The posters will be placed around the park for our Walk to Remember section.

To submit any pictures for our video and add your baby's name to be read please email us at

Another great event took place on October 15th, 2014 at the Green Parks. Families in attendance made memorial items of their baby and were provided a place to come together as a community to remember our gone but not forgotten babies. The night was filled with tears, hope, and healing.

On October 15th. The Green Park was lit up Pink and Blue Tuesday night in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Memorial Day. Over 150 people from across the community, different states, and even some from international countries attended the first event hosted by Jalen's Gift Foundation. Families in attendance made memorial items of the baby there were there to honor, the children were given glowsticks and bubble blowers, and pink, blue, and white balloons were also light up and blinking all over the park. The event was emotional and sad, but had some uplifting moments as everyone in attendance cheered, kids blew bubbles, and raised glowsticks for every baby's name that was read. No child's name was not said without a roar coming from the crowd. There was also a memorial slideshow of the lost babies, and some other inspiring videos showing the effects of infant loss on family members.

One special part of the event came when 4 families read a letter to their angel baby. Heatlh Plan of Southern Nevada was onsite to award Jerome and Gabriela Foster with a $5,000 donation. Dr. Paul Wilkes and Dr. Joseph Adashek also spoke about the prevalence of infant loss and why they joined Jalen's Gift Foundation.
